Starting March 25, Houston will host design talents from all over the country for Texas Design Week. These are some of the event’s can’t-miss happenings.
Jamie Drake & Caleb Anderson at Circa Lighting
When: Monday, March 25, 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
Where: Circa Lighting, 2427 Westheimer Road
On projects ranging from island getaways to sprawling townhouses, AD100 designers Jamie Drake and Caleb Anderson have been tasked with decorating for the likes of Madonna and Michael Bloomberg, among other notable names. During Monday’s roundtable, the two talents will discuss their respective takes on glamour, curation, and elegance.
Bunny Williams at Design in Bloom
When: Tuesday, March 26, 1 P.M. to 2:15 P.M.
Where: Houston Design Center, 7026 Old Katy Road
While the daylong Design in Bloom event on Tuesday includes a slew of great offerings, including floral presentation by Ariella Chezar and P. Allen Smith, AD100 designer Bunny Williams is surely the de facto headliner. The legendary interiors guru will take the stage of the Houston Design Center at 1 P.M., at which time she’ll highlight some of her latest and most legendary designs. Afterward, she’ll host a signing of her new book, Love Affairs With Houses.
Cocktails With Cabana’s Martina Mondadori Sartogo
When: Tuesday, March 26, 6:15 P.M. to 8:30 P.M.
Where: Moxie, 2031 West Alabama Street
Cabana fans will come together on Tuesday at design showroom Moxie to rub elbows with Martina Mondadori Sartogo, the founder of the burgeoning lifestyle brand and magazine.
Contemporary Design in the South
When: Friday, March 29, 11 A.M. to 1 P.M.
Where: FOUND, 3433 West Alabama Street
On the final day of Texas Design Week, AD PRO editor Katy B. Olson will be moderating a panel discussion at decor destination FOUND on contemporary design in the traditional South, with Paloma Contreras and Shaun Smith.
