Twice a year High Point Market has an event that showcases the latest trends in Interior Design, Architecture, and Furniture design . Here are the latest trends going into winter for 2018.
Natural Elements
Natural elements are becoming very popular and were found in creative and unexpected ways this year at High Point Market. Lighting fixtures featured natural elements like wicker and coconut shells.
New Traditionals
A new take on traditional design is emerging. High point featured traditional floral wallpapers but refreshed in a more modern way. Theodore Alexander featured new pieces from its Althorp line, a collection of reproductions of furniture from the home of Earl Spencer which includes several chinoiserie cabinets and screens and sofas upholstered.
Light Green
Green has never been so popular. Everywhere at the market people displayed variations of light green. From fun accents, to an entire lobby swathed in a forest hue.
Customization
Custom furniture is becoming more widespread, Bungalow 5 launched a custom upholstery program last month, and Fabricut debuted its made-to-order furniture program (which features 150 upholstery options) at market to compete with internet start ups.
