2019 is here and so is a fresh take on interior design. In this blog we’re going to be taking a look at the future trends, and styles you can expect to see in the next 12 months.
Black, White, and Color
Designs in 2018 embraced natural earthy tones while still being modern. In 2019 color comes back, but it’s not going to take over the room. Instead color will be used as accents. Having a black and white overall theme will help the colors pop.

Patterned Backsplashes
Backslashes have never really been seen as a main feature or statement, until now. In 2019 pattern comes to the kitchen backsplash. Backsplash designs can work with many design styles, from hand painted mosaics in traditional or ethnic designs to geometric lines in modern designs.
Open Shelving
We have seen this design trend forming for a couple of years, but it’s going to be more prominent in 2019 with open shelving specifically replacing upper cabinets. This adds an overall bold statement and makes homes feel more open.
Entryway Carpet
Entryways have become popular spaces for carpet. It sets the tone for a home. Going with a light colored and inviting carpet lends a very luxurious feeling.
Handcrafted Authenticity
Something that was hand made by a craftsman seems more authentic and real than anything else. People are going for that “custom” design in their homes and something hand crafted can truly stand out versus mass produced pieces.
