Designers, architects and members of the design trade are cordially invited to attend 2nd Tuesday on March 8, 2016 at The Houston Design Center. Presented by LUXE Interiors+Design, 2nd Tuesday is an informative day of continuing education programs and a presentation of “Custom Rugs: Imagination is the Limit.”
Beginning at 10 am a Continuing Education Course for Interior Designers and Architects will be offered. The course “Architectural Hardware 101” will over an overview of architectural door hardware, proper sequencing and the basic codes as relates to components. This course will be presented by Debra Posers-Wafford with Hager Companies. The CEU is an AIA approved presentation or self-reporting and complimentary to members of the trade. The course will be held in the MCA Systems Showroom 106.
The featured program for January 2nd Tuesday is “Custom Rugs: Imagination is the Limit” a presentation by Geoff Duckworth, Senior Designer and Graphics Manager at Tamarian, who will discuss the variety of options available to the designer – from something as simple as executing an existing design in a different, exact color to designing a rug from scratch based on the details of a beloved scarf or pattern. Anything can serve as inspiration for the rug of your client’s dreams. While these new woven rugs from Nepal still retain all the quality clients expect, they can be designed and produced in a fraction of the time. No longer are cost, quality or speed prohibitive in delivering exceptional custom rugs. Clients will love having the ability to have affordable custom rugs that reflect their interests and capture their personality. The program will be hosted by LGI Oriental Rugs, Showroom 155 beginning at 11:30 am.
