Design In Bloom brought top talent to Houston
THE HOUSTON DESIGN CENTER WELCOMED SPRING last Tuesday with its inaugural event, Design In Bloom, which joined design professionals and enthusiasts for a day of lectures, demonstrations, and pop-up shops.
Fittingly presented by Flower Magazine, the nation’s only floral lifestyle publication based in Alabama, Design In Bloom clinched four industry headliners for its first go-round: interior designer Charlotte Moss, architect Gil Schaefer, lifestyle entrepreneur India Hicks, and master floral designer Remco Van Vilet. The esteemed quartet took part in a VIP panel moderated by Flower founder Margot Shaw.
After, guests floated between book signings, breakout sessions, floral demonstrations, and exclusive pop-ups including collections from India Hicks and seasonal blooms from the Brookwood Plant Sale. Proceeds from the latter benefited the Brookwood Community, an organization that provides opportunities to adults with disabilities.
