The Houston Design Center (7026 Old Katy Road) is pleased to announce the addition of a new showroom to its esteemed roster of tenants. Memorial Antiques & Interiors (MAI) has signed a new lease on 19,400 square foot space in Showroom 166.

“The welcome addition of MAI provides yet another quality source for our growing clientele of this region’s top design professionals, architects, homebuilders, and homeowners.” said Fred Baca, Managing Partner of the Houston Design Center.

A leading interior design store, MAI offers an inspiring mix of unique and hard-to-find antiques and contemporary decor. Their extensive collection includes French and other European antiques, mid-century modern, custom furniture and lighting, original artwork and textiles. New furnishings, architectural and garden elements and much more round out the mix at MAI.

Relocating from its home on the Katy Freeway to the Houston Design Center is MAI’s latest move in staying current. “When MAI first opened, antiques were king. Through the years, styles have changed and MAI has too,” says general manager Kathy Swartzfager. “Our store is full of what is currently called ‘the mix.’ ‘Modern’ looks fabulous mixed with fine old pieces. ‘Old’ looks fabulous when given a modern facelift. This is MAI today!”
