HOUSTON (May 15, 2019) – Fans of phenomenal food and wine are invited to an afternoon of fun and festivities at the 14th Annual International Risotto Festival on Sunday, November 10 from 2pm-6pm at The Houston Design Center. The exceptional outdoor strolling event returns with delicious Italian creations from top Houston chefs, fantastic wines, music, entertainment, exotic cars, a charity auction, designer showroom tours, and lively activities for kids.

This year’s festival will benefit BEAR… BE A Resource for CPS Kids, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides hope and help for over 10,000 abused and neglected children along with the caseworkers who protect them within Harris County. BEAR’s programs provide emergency supplies such as diapers, clothes, shoes, car seats and cribs, formula, school uniforms/supplies, and more to ensure the wellbeing of each child. BEAR even provides items needed for those graduating from high school and transitioning out of CPS care.

Serving as the Honoree of the 14th International Risotto Festival is the Texas Business Travel Association (TBTA), the premier professional trade organization providing a forum for the exchange of ideas between managers of corporate travel, travel industry suppliers, and regulatory agencies. TBTA’s Community Outreach Program will grant financial support and hands-on volunteerism to BEAR, allowing the non-profit to provide over 25,000 services annually to abused and neglected children throughout Harris County. These services include but are not limited to, supplying car seats, cribs, and air mattresses to children removed from their homes and offering brand new toys to thousands of children during the holidays.

Serving as Event Chairs are Chef Brandi Key, Chef Jorge Valencia and Kelly Laudadio, owners of LMN Hospitality. With more than 50 years of collective restaurant experience, the trio is a dynamic powerhouse in the Houston culinary community.

Early Bird tickets are available now and can be purchased online at www.risottofestival.com for $75.00 per person or $175 for VIP, both prices will increase after October 1, 2019. VIP tickets include valet parking and access to the VIP Lounge where guests can mingle with participating sponsors, chefs and judges, sip fine wines and enjoy an excellent selection of desserts. Children under 12 are free.

The International Risotto Festival was founded in 2000 and has a rich history as real culinary competition for a good cause. More than 75 of Houston’s finest chefs have competed to help raise more than $750,000 for local charities in the 14 productions of the festival since that date.
