Due to inclement weather and construction delays on Old Katy Road, The Houston Design Center has moved the 10th Annual Cruise Party to a new date – Thursday, June 11 from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.
Guests will don their best cruise attire for an evening aboard the Centennial Cruise for a sailing to exciting ports of call – without leaving The Houston Design Center. Architects, designers, home builders and the design enthused will enjoy Caribbean drinks by Brugal Rum, wonderful wines of ZONIN, and cool cocktails from Deep Eddy Vodka. 30 Participating showrooms will reflect different ports of call where Guests will take their “passports” to each Port and once completely stamped they are entered in the drawing for the prizes at the end of the evening. Entertainment will be provided by Mark Towns and PBS’ own Ernie Manouse will serve as the Master of Ceremonies.
The 10th Annual Cruise Party will be a spectacular Centennial Celebration of Design celebrating the 40th anniversary of The American Society of Interior Designers, the 30th anniversary of The Houston Design Center, and the 20th anniversary of Houston Design Resources.
The official charity for The Centennial Celebration will be the ASID Texas Gulf Coast Chapter Scholarship Fund. 100% Proceeds from a Silent Auction held during the Cruise Party will go directly to the local ASID Scholarship Fund. One-of-a-kind designer furnishings and services will be on display at the ASID Chapter office where guests can place bids throughout the evening.
