LUXE + Interiors and The Houston Design Center Present Continuing Education Programs for Design Professionals

Houston, Texas – Jan 27, 2014 – The Houston Design Center, located at 7026 Old Katy Road, along with LUXE + Interiors are pleased to announce a lineup of continuing education programs for interior design professionals in 2014, in conjunction with the monthly program 2nd Tuesday.

2014 Continuing Education Programs include:

Tuesday, February 11 (9:30 – 10:30 am) The New Standards: Highlights – This course provides designers with an overview of the ADA Standards which every designer needs to know

Wednesday, April 2 (9:30 – 10:30 am) A Designer’s Guide to Green Design – This course provides designers with an overview  of the easiest and most important ways to design green

Tuesday, April 8 (9:30 – 10:30 am) Contracts – This course teaches designers both the importance of writing a contract when working with on a client project and how to write one

Tuesday, May 13 (9:30 – 10:30 am) Water Efficiency in The Home – The course teaches designers both the importance of conserving water and how to design more water efficient homes

Tuesday, Sept 9 (9:30 – 10:30 am) The Psychological Impact of Color – This course teaches designers the importance of color in a design project and its psychological impact on the design as a whole

Tuesday, Oct 14 (9:30 – 10:30 am) Aging in Style Bathrooms – This course identifies the key Universal Design features that are essential in a residential bathroom

Tuesday, Nov 11 (9:30 – 10:30 am) Modernism – Art Deco – This course provides designers with an in depth understanding of the Art Deco style

The Continuing Education Courses will be taught by Beverly Vosko, with InteriorDesign-Ed. Beverly is an Allied Member ASID, RID, (Texas Registered Interior Designer #6333), MBA, UDCP, CAPS, L.E.E.D. Green Associate, CGP. Each course will provide a 1 hour IDCEC/CEU Credit. Course fee is $35 per person, per course payable at the event. The showroom hosts will be announced.
